Over the years I have met many lawyers who were unhappy, or at the very least not completely happy with where they were in their career. Yet, most of those lawyers were content enough to not do anything about it. Have you ever met lawyers like that?

Recently I read a Success Magazine article Unleashing the Power by Tony Robbins. He says:

There are many people who live in what I call ‘No-man’s Land,’ a place where you’re not really happy, but you’re not unhappy enough to do anything about it.

In the article Tony Robbins offers three suggestions to get out of this state. I will let you read them. I have shared mine with you before.  A couple of years ago I wrote: Career Success and Life Fulfillment: What You Can Learn from Tony and Gina, which included ideas from my two books about husband and wife lawyers Tony and Gina. I gave my thoughts on the attributes of lawyers I know who are both successful and fulfilled:

Lawyers who are truly successful and happy:

  • Feel like they control their destiny
  • Know what they want
  • Have a plan to accomplish it
  • Build relationships
  • Work on making a contribution to a cause greater than themselves
If you know a lawyer who is not 100% satisfied with his or her career and life, is he or she doing anything about it or just going through the motions each day?
